youth is a short term lease, non-renewable.

wilfred blazer, splendid tee, jbrand wax coated pants, sam edelman shoes, louis vuitton bag, hermes belt, holt renfrew fur faux scarf

on the 10th, all the words to "before he cheats" from carrie underwood & "the last song" from rihanna are the only thing that make complete sense to me. i am almost this close to being jobless, boyfriendless, and breathless...

tell me ladies, what do you do to get over a break-up?

  1. I love your outfit! I'm sorry to hear about your breakup =( I hope you're okay... I usually take a trip somewhere warm. With lots of eyecandy. Doesn't really solve anything in the long run, but it helps take the edge off. I hope you feel better soon!!!

  4. Yum, I love high tea. Scones with Devonshire cream and jam are always good.

I know it's going to sound easier said than done, but to get over a break up, you just do it. Sure you can cry about it, but why bother? Ok, maybe that's not the most compassionate approach, but eventually you'll see that it's not worth your time. It helps when you don't care, but you can't stop caring about someone overnight. Just try to see the silver lining and how you're better off on your own. At the end of the day, the only person you can truly rely on is yourself. I find that the sooner a person realizes that and lives it, the rest is easy.

Those J Brands look amazing on you btw ;)

  6. i feel awful, im pretty much am in the same place except im not losing my boyfriend. i will at the rate im going though (acting super crazy and being depressed about not having a job).

just breathe and be with people you love and know will let you dwell and sulk for a bit. spoil yourself a little and remind yourself it'll all be ok.

  7. Oh dear, break ups are never easy. I'm not really one to give great advice, I've been with my current boyfriend for 4 years but we were on and off in the past when we were younger, but things are steady now. As cliche as it sounds, time will heal things! If this relationship didn't work out, there's bound to be someone better out there. Cry, talk to friends, watch movies, but don't dwell on your pain. Keep your head up girl!

  9. how- cry a lot- meet up with friends if that's what you feel like- do it as often as you can, but if you feel like isolating yourself for a while that might be right too. find a new hobby maybe? i don't know- but i think i would probably move into a friends place and stay there for a couple o days..

    anyhow- i love your outfit.
i wish you all the best of luck dear
    take care

  10. Firstly can I just say I love your pants, they look so good on you.

Secondly, cry cry and cry- let it out sister. Then delete him from your life, every single little thing. Move on. And give it some time- sooner or later you'll realise you're in a much better place. Everything happens for a reason! That's my advice anyways!

    Head up girl!

    xx

  11. sometimes it helps to just imerse yourself in it...allow yourself to cry and be sad, hurt, angry...eventually you'll get sick of being sick (over him, the situation...). 2011, on to bigger and better things. chin up, girl! you're awesome.

  12. I know how you feel, I went through two terrible breakups in '08 and '09. I got through it by letting my self cry it out, blast some tunes in my room by myself, and watch tons of chick flicks. The thing that really helped me move on was busying my social calendar. I spent a lot of time out with my girlfriends and the girl time really helped me move on and rebuild my confidence.

Hope that things get better for you, keep your head up, time heals all!

  15. adorable outfit ~ <3

& hope u will cure that heartache of urs asap ... Personally I think u just have to let your mind & heart heal at its own pace. Be honest to urself. Don't try to force urself and pretend everything is ok if you're not there yet. Let it out. & when u're truthful to urself, though slowly, but surely u will get over the lost.

    Best wishes to u <3

  25. i know you posted this in jan so i hope you're feeling a lot better since then. sorry to hear about your break up. its one of the most difficult things to deal with. what helps me is exhausting myself from releasing the pain by crying, going to the gym or doing yoga and meditating.

and like momojae mentioned i try to travel somewhere. it gives me perspective and a bigger picture of life. i usually feel refreshed after that. hang in there =)
